Instructions
 

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a small loaf pan (about 7.5 x 3.5 inches) with parchment paper.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.
  • Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. You can use an electric mixer or beat by hand with a spoon.
  • Add Egg and Vanilla: Beat in the egg until fully combined. Then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Combine Wet Ingredients: Mix the mashed bananas and chopped apple into the butter mixture until well combined.
  • Add Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Fold in Optional Add-Ins: If using, fold in the chopped nuts, raisins, or chocolate chips.
  • Pour and Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
