½cup115 g unsalted butter, softened (or substitute with oil or half butter, half oil based on preference)

1cup225 g mashed ripe bananas (about 2 to 3 medium bananas)

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a standard 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easier removal. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon (if using), and salt. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy using a hand mixer or stand mixer. This should take about 2–3 minutes.
