Ingredients
  

  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda note: reduce to ½ tsp total if using both baking powder and soda
  • 1 ½ teaspoons kosher salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups mashed ripe bananas about 3 large bananas
  • ½ cup whole milk or buttermilk
  • ½ cup Nutella hazelnut spread

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and mashed bananas. Mix until well combined.
  • Alternate adding the dry ingredients and milk into the banana mixture, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined (don’t overmix).
  • Pour half the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Warm the Nutella slightly and drizzle half over the batter. Swirl gently with a knife. Repeat with the remaining batter and Nutella, then swirl again.
  • Bake for 55–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean (some Nutella may stick, that’s fine). Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
