Ingredients

  • ¾ cup warm water 105°F to 115°F
  • 1 packet 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups bread flour
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tablespoons shredded cheese like cheddar or mozzarella
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Italian herbs

Instructions

  • Prepare the Bread Machine: Make sure the bread machine pan is clean and the kneading blade is in place.
  • Add Ingredients: Pour the warm water into the pan. Sprinkle the yeast over the water and let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.

  • Add Cheese: Finally, sprinkle the grated Parmesan and shredded cheese on top.
  • Select Settings: Choose the basic or white bread setting on your bread machine. Select the crust color (light, medium, or dark) based on your preference.
  • Start the Machine: Close the lid and start the bread machine.
  • Cool and Serve: Once the baking cycle is complete, carefully remove the bread from the pan and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.

Notes

For a more flavorful bread, consider adding herbs like oregano or rosemary to the dough.
You can also experiment with different types of cheese, such as Gruyère or Asiago.
