Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Add warm water, olive oil, and milk. Stir until a dough forms.
Knead the Dough: Transfer to a floured surface and knead for 5–7 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
First Rise: Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp towel, and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Make the Filling: In a bowl, mix the shredded cheese, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, and black pepper.
Shape the Bread: Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle. Spread the cheese and bacon mixture evenly on top.
Roll & Second Rise: Roll the dough up into a log, tuck the ends, and place it in a greased baking pan. Let it rise for another 30-40 minutes.
Bake: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush the top of the dough with a little milk or butter. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until golden brown.
Serve: Let the bread cool slightly before slicing. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Enjoy your cheesy, bacon-filled creation!
