Ingredients
  

  • 1⅓ cups all-purpose flour or 1-to-1 gluten-free baking flour
  • ¾ cup mini chocolate chips plus extra for sprinkling on top
  • cups ripe mashed banana about 3 to 4 medium bananas
  • ½ cup 2% Greek yogurt can substitute with sour cream
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ cup packed light brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

  • First, get your oven heating up to 350°F (175°C). While it’s warming, grease your 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper so the bread won’t stick.
  • Next, grab a large bowl and mix together the dry ingredients flour, baking soda, and salt. Just whisk them until combined, then set that bowl aside for now.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter with the sugars. Whisk them together until the mixture is smooth. Then, add the eggs one at a time, making sure to beat well after each addition. After the eggs, stir in the mashed bananas, Greek yogurt, and vanilla extract until everything is blended nicely.
  • Now, take the dry ingredients and add them slowly to the wet mixture. Use a spatula to fold the flour in gently, mixing just until you don’t see any streaks of flour anymore try not to overdo it.
  • Once that’s done, fold in most of the mini chocolate chips, keeping a few aside to sprinkle on top later. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, then sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips over the surface.
  • Pop the pan into the oven and bake for about an hour. To check if it’s done, stick a toothpick in the center if it comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs, it’s ready.
  • When it’s finished baking, let the bread cool in the pan for around 10 minutes. After that, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
