- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon fine sea salt
- 1 ⅓ cups unsalted butter softened
- 1 ⅔ cups white granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 ¼ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 ½ cups buttermilk room temperature
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Alternate adding the dry ingredients and buttermilk to the wet mixture, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips and vegetable oil until evenly distributed.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
