  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter melted

Instructions
 

Step 1: Combine Dry Ingredients

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar.

Step 2: Add Wet Ingredients

  • Add the warm water, milk, cottage cheese, egg, and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough forms.

Step 3: Knead the Dough

  • Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.

Step 4: First Rise

  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Step 5: Shape and Second Rise

  • Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place the loaf in a greased loaf pan lined with parchment paper. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise for another 30-45 minutes, or until doubled in size.
