Ingredients
  

For the Cake:

  • 2 ⅔ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup whole milk room temperature

For Lavender Syrup:

  • 2 tablespoons culinary lavender buds
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups sugar

For the Frosting:

  • 1 ½ cups unsalted butter softened
  • 6 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons dried lavender finely ground
  • 5-6 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions
 

Prepare the Cake:

  • ● Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  • ● In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • ● In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  • ● Stir in lavender, vanilla, and lavender extract (if using).
  • ● Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk until just combined.
  • ● Divide batter evenly between the prepared pans and smooth the tops.

Bake the Cake:

  • ● Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then turn out onto wire racks to cool completely.

Make the Lavender Syrup:

  • ● In a small saucepan, combine lavender buds, water, and sugar. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 5 minutes. Strain and let cool.

Prepare the Frosting:
