Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Spoon or spatula for stirring
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper (optional)
  • Cooling rack

Ingredients

  • 1 box 15.25 oz yellow cake mix
  • ½ cup 115 g creamy peanut butter
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup 60 ml vegetable oil
  • cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons water

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, creamy peanut butter, egg, vegetable oil, granulated sugar, and water. Stir well until all ingredients are fully combined and form a dough.
  • Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Use a fork or the back of a spoon to gently flatten each cookie dough ball slightly. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is set.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.

Notes

For an extra indulgent twist, I sometimes add chocolate chips or chopped peanuts to the dough. About 1/2 cup of either will give the cookies additional texture and flavor, making them even more irresistible.
