Oven
- 1 can 21 oz strawberry pie filling
- 1 box 15.25 oz yellow cake mix (or white cake mix)
- ½ cup 115 g unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup 150 g fresh or frozen strawberries, chopped (optional, for added fruitiness)
- ½ cup 50 g chopped nuts (optional, for added crunch)
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare the Base: Pour the can of strawberry pie filling into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. If using, sprinkle the chopped fresh or frozen strawberries over the pie filling for extra fruitiness.
Add the Cake Mix: Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the strawberry pie filling. Do not stir; just spread it out as evenly as possible.
Add the Topping: Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top of the cake mix. This will create a buttery, crumbly topping as the cake bakes.
Optional Additions: If desired, sprinkle chopped nuts over the top for added texture and flavor.
Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling around the edges.
Cool and Serve: Allow the dump cake to cool slightly before serving. It can be enjoyed warm on its own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
