  • 1 box butter pecan cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 container approximately 16 oz coconut pecan frosting
  • Extra toasted pecans for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9×13-inch baking pan by greasing and flouring it, or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine the butter pecan cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Using an electric mixer on medium speed, beat the mixture for about 2 minutes until the batter is smooth and fully blended.
  • Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pan and gently spread it out. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely in the pan set on a cooling rack. Once cooled, spread the coconut pecan frosting evenly over the cake’s surface.
